I know what you are thinking, you cannot beat a set of free plans right? But the truth is that you can. Let me explain. If you were to find a set of plans online for free that showed you how to build a great solar panel for $200 you might be ecstatic. But what if you could get a $50 guide that showed you how to build the same solar panel but for $100. The guide included, you save $50. And that is just for a single panel. Every solar panel after that saves you $100.

So do not fall for the free solar panel plans trap because there is a good reason that these newer guides charge you for their information. And that is because they know that they can save you much more money than the price of their guide.

Mistake #2 – Solar Panel Kit Plans

Other people opt to go the easier route and buy one of the many solar panel kits out there. And these kits do come with a set of solar panel plans but you still have to be careful. The people who design and produce these kits are really just middle men who know they can make money off of you. This is why these kits are so expensive. If you knew any better you could easily buy the same exact parts yourself for less than 50% of the cost of the kit. They make money by inflating their prices for unsuspecting customers.

Another thing that bothers me about these kits is that they provide you only the minimum performing equipment that you need to get the job done. If you ever wanted to expand your system with more solar panels then you would have replace many of the costly solar power system components.

These newer guides solve both of these problems. First they show you exactly how to get the best prices on the parts you need which means cutting out the middle man. And they also show you how to properly size your system from the start so that the components you start with will still work when you add many more solar panels.
